Someone who has decided for whatever reason to hate me based on my modelling photos emailed me an old image of myself today, one where I still had black damaged hair, (extremely!) bad makeup skills and ill-fitting goth clothes. This photo, they said, proved that I was nothing special etc, and only looked good with loads of makeup and photoshop. I think the word ugly was used in there somewhere. I have to say, it was a pretty unflattering pic

It's been a little while since I had 'hate mail'. It's fun(?) to be reminded there are people who hunt down bad photos of me for the purpose of proving I'm an unnattractive bad model though

The fact is, I'm neither as 'ugly' as the oldest most unflattering photos, nor as 'beautiful' as those where I somehow managed to look stunning. I'm somewhere in between, in the realm of just-a-normal-person-but-quite-good-at-modelling-now.

(btw I'm totally not fishing for supportive compliments, I just find it interesting how some people will latch on to the 'bad' photos as proof of how awful I am, and ignore anything else I've done. I wonder what it is that makes them want to be unkind and full of negativity? A model can have 100s of great photos, but just 1 or 2 bad ones and suddenly she is 'ugly'? What rubbish!).

No-one is perfect. And it's just the internet
